EU and other markets

Company data from the EU and other markets on request

Our focus is the United Kingdom. We compile company data from Ireland and the other EU countries on request, with scope, the date of the data and price in the quote.

33,978,235 businesses in the 27 EU member states according to Eurostat, Structural Business Statistics (sbs_ovw_act), reference year 2024 (data as at 30 September 2026). Not a figure from our dataset.

Other offers

Where we already compile company data

Besides the United Kingdom we are building company databases for other markets. We state scope and the date of the data for each request.

Germany

Czechia and Poland

Other EU countries

We check the country’s public registers and sources and tell you in advance what can be delivered.

Process

How a request for another country works

What can be delivered depends on the public sources and the law in the target country. That is why we clarify it before every quote.

1. Name the country and target group

Country, industry or activity (ideally as a NACE code), region and the fields every record should contain.

2. Feasibility and quote

We check the country’s sources and state scope, columns, the date of the data and price. Prices shown are the full price – nothing is added.

3. Receive the file

After your confirmation you receive the export as a UTF-8 CSV, or XLSX or JSON on request.

How many businesses there are in the EU

Eurostat counts a total of 33,978,235 businesses in industry, construction and market services in the EU-27 for 2024. The table shows the ten member states with the most businesses and the other 17 together. These are official statistics, not figures from our dataset; public administration, agriculture and membership organisations are not included, and the UK figure of the ONS uses a different definition, so the two cannot be compared directly.

FAQ

Company data from other countries: frequently asked questions

There is no industry catalogue like the UK one on this website for other countries. We already compile company data for Germany, Czechia and Poland and for the US state of Florida; for other countries we check for each request what can be delivered from public sources.

It counts businesses in industry, construction and market services (NACE sections B to S excluding public administration and membership organisations) in 2024: 33,978,235 in the EU-27. The UK is not part of this dataset. The figure describes the market, not our dataset (Eurostat, Structural Business Statistics (sbs_ovw_act), data as at 30 September 2026).

No. PECR only applies in the UK. Each EU country implements the ePrivacy rules in its own law and decides whether businesses may be approached by email or phone without consent; the EU GDPR applies to personal data. When you request data we tell you what we know about the law in the target country, but we do not give legal advice. For the UK: PECR rules for B2B email and calls.

Ask us specifically, for example about Switzerland, Norway or a US state. Whether we can deliver depends on the country’s public sources; we check this for each request.
