Machinery and equipment makers, steel fabricators and machine shops, plastics and rubber processors, joinery and furniture manufacturers, electronics, electrical and chemical companies and printers: for suppliers, maintenance and industrial service firms and software vendors who want to reach manufacturers in a region or size up a market.
Our UK dataset holds 2.676.396 records (as at 4 de noviembre de 2026); they are not yet assigned to industries. The quote states the size available for this industry.
Export of the whole industry: £349 (full price). Selections by nation, postcode area or your own filters are quoted on request.
Official statistics: 116.040 businesses in the UK according to ONS, UK business: activity, size and location 2026 (enterprises in March 2026, published 24 September 2026). Section C manufacturing (128,125) excluding divisions 10 food products (9,485), 11 beverages (2,600) and 12 tobacco products (0 after rounding). This is the size of the market, not the size of our dataset.
Describe the products or processes you are after and your sales area, for example metal fabricators in the West Midlands. With the website as a required field you can then check yourself whether a firm fits your supplier or partner profile.
An industry assignment alone proves neither machinery nor capacity, accreditation or a current purchasing need.
Price of the whole industry: £349. A selection by region, sub-industry or required fields is quoted individually; the whole-industry price is not a price promise for the filtered selection.
A request is not an order. Scope, fields, the date of the data and price are confirmed before you order.
What counts as Manufacturing
The industry covers section C of UK SIC 2007 (manufacturing) without divisions 10 to 12. Food and drink producers are under Agriculture and food production; tobacco products (12) are left out.
The divisions differ greatly in size and are unevenly spread across the nations and regions. A selection by division and region therefore reaches a target group more precisely than a list of all manufacturing. Division 33 (repair and installation of machinery and equipment) is included; it covers service firms rather than producers.

Companies House and website disclosures: identity is usually easy to check
Manufacturers trading as limited companies can be identified through the register and through what the law makes them show on their own websites.
Companies House
The free BasicCompanyData snapshot lists live companies with number, registered office, company type, status, incorporation date and up to four SIC codes, refreshed monthly. It contains no phone numbers, emails or websites.
Website disclosures
A company must show its registered name on its websites (reg. 24), together with the part of the UK in which it is registered, its registered number and its registered office address (reg. 25 of the Trading Disclosures Regulations 2015). That is how a website is matched to a company number.
VAT number
GOV.UK notes that most businesses show their VAT number on invoices, receipts or their website. HMRC’s Check a UK VAT number service confirms whether a number is valid and to which name and address it is registered; it cannot be searched by name. VAT numbers are not part of our export.
Product, process or division: how to reach the right group
UK SIC classifies by product, not by process. A subcontract machine shop sits in 25.62, a maker of complete machines in 28. If you are looking for users of a process, such as CNC machining or powder coating, combine several divisions.
Larger manufacturers often have several sites. The export shows the address given in the source; plants and branches elsewhere are not guaranteed as separate records, and the registered office at Companies House may differ from the production site.
A manufacturer trading as a limited company is a corporate subscriber under PECR reg. 2: a B2B email needs no prior consent, but it must identify the sender and give a valid opt-out address (reg. 23). Sales calls must be screened against TPS and Corporate TPS first.

Example request: we offer service contracts for compressed-air systems and are looking for firms in divisions 22, 25 and 28 in the West Midlands and the East Midlands with a website and a Companies House number, for a postal mailing and a match against our CRM. How many records is that?

Questions
Manufacturing: frequently asked questions
Employee numbers and turnover are not columns in the export. The legal form gives a rough guide, and the company status shows whether a matched company is active, facing a proposal to strike off or in liquidation. A real size selection needs other sources.
No. Divisions 10 and 11 belong to Agriculture and food production. You can combine both industries in one request.
The export contains no lists of named buyers, only the addresses firms publish themselves, general or named. Emailing a limited company needs no prior consent under PECR, but you must identify yourself and offer an opt-out; if an address names a person, UK GDPR applies as well, including the right to object. Details: PECR rules for B2B email and calls.
